Disney Channel Actress Carla Jeffery Dies at 33

Actress Carla Jeffery, best known for her portrayal of Bree in Disney’s popular Zombies film franchise, has died at the age of 33.

Her death was confirmed by her manager, Carla Alexander, founder of the Los Angeles-based Alexanders Talent Management.

“Carla was more than a client; she was family,” Alexander said in a statement. “Our hearts are with Carla’s family and loved ones during this devastating time.”

Alexander informed KTLA that additional details regarding the actress's passing will be released in the coming days. A cause of death has not yet been disclosed.

Born in Houston, Texas, Jeffery launched her acting career at age 12, starring alongside Mo’Nique in the 2006 comedy film Phat Girlz.
She went on to feature in several popular Disney Channel productions, including Good Luck Charlie, Shake It Up!, and Best Friends Whenever.

Jeffery achieved wider recognition through her role as Bree in Disney’s Zombies franchise. Portrayed as the loyal best friend to Addison—played by Meg Donnelly—her character became a staple across the film series and its animated spin-off.

Beyond the Zombies franchise, Jeffery's screen credits include projects such as Disney's Prom Pact.

Reflecting on the late actress, Alexander remarked, “She loved what she did. She was a great person.”

Jeffery’s death has drawn tributes from fans and colleagues alike, honoring her contributions to Disney’s young-adult entertainment legacy.
